  20. Since May 15th 1994 this file has been replaced with README.HLP
  21. README.HLP is a Windows Help file with all the latest news.
  22. You can read this file from within WineBase.

  24. 2. DECANT.EXE

  26. To install WineBase run the DECANT.EXE program from within Windows.
  27. You can do this from Program Manager or File Manager.
  28. DECANT now creates a Group called "Almost Vertical Software".
  29. If you have a "WineBase for Windows" group, please delete it.

  33. A new format for the maps has been introduced, so if you are
  34. upgrading an old version of WineBase, please delete all files
  35. ending in .BMP from the WineBase directory before installing
  36. the new version.

  40. The 12th edition of Australian and New Zealand Wine Vintages
  41. by Robin Bradley is finished and ships with WineBase v2.8
  42.

  45. If you have downloaded WineBase from a BBS, you will need to
  46. copy the Archive to a temporary directory, expand it there,
  47. and run DECANT from there as well.

  49. You cannot install WineBase in the same directory as contains
  50. the archived files.

  52. So don't create a directory called WINEBASE, copy the archive
  53. there, expand it and then try and run DECANT, because it will
  54. not let you.

  58. As DECANT needs to drop out of Windows and fire up a DOS Window,
  59. if you are using OS/2 WIN, make sure that OS/2 has the DOS option
  60. on, before running DECANT (as it will hang if you don't).
